A top campaign to raise money and awareness for Movember.
Men are dying too young and we need to speak about men's health needs. We wanted to promote this message and raise money for Movember UK. Our aim was to utilise the power of social media by creating a fun and entertaining experience. However, at the same time it was crucial that we shared Movember's important message.Find out more about Movember 👉
The two-month campaign aimed to peak during Movember to gain maximum engagement. A microsite was at the heart of the campaign and this allowed people to submit their Instagram-fabulous moustaches for approval. Then, once accepted, it was up to the public to vote for the best moustache in the world.
• 48,000 unique page views
• 700 ‘Top Tache’ entries
• 36,090 total votes
• 120,003 website hits
• AWWWARDS Honorable Mention Award
A core feature of the microsite was the virtual ‘Tache Off’ with two randomly picked photos pitted against each other. Then the user decides which moustache deserves the top spot.
The hall of fame showcased the Tache of the day, Tache of the week and Overall Top Tache. This encouraged people to share their accomplishment with their network. In turn, this prompted more people to visit the site and get involved with the campaign.
It was important to ensure that all photos submitted were quality and appropriate. We created a back-end system that allowed us to approve all the content before it appeared on the website.
The microsite needed to be a fun and entertaining experience for everyone – not only those sporting impressive whiskers. So we took a fun and illustrative approach with the identity and illustrations. These shaped the microsite and content design, which we produced for the campaign.

There’s a rustle in the Welsh woods that has been whispered about for generations. They believe it to be Blue. They say it’s not sasquatch, but Stag. All that’s been spotted is the odd antler in the overgrowth or hoofprint on the forest floor.
We’ve taken matters into our own hands and set up a series of cameras to try and locate Seb the Stag for ourselves. Brave visitor, can you help us in our quest to unravel the mystery and marvel at the myth?Launch forest cam
