Introducing Social Suitcase

Dan Sargent Dan Sargent

Around this time last year, a few of us were in a bar in Cardiff Bay enjoying a cocktail or two. We were discussing the world of content and digital.

In particular, we were talking about content management systems. You know, the software that allow us to update and manage websites - platforms such as WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.

These content management systems have been around for a while. WordPress, which currently powers a quarter of all websites, has been around since 2003. They have become typical solutions and familiar names in web publishing.

We discussed how frustrating we found them.

In a world where social content has never been so exciting, accessible and interesting, content management systems do little to actually harness it.

We discussed our ideas and how cool it would be if there was a content management system that would embrace the future of content and social media, allowing us to create the content rich experiences we’d like to.

So after a few Mai Tai’s, we decided to do something about it.

It’s been 273 days since that night in the bar.

Today, we are pretty excited to announce that we have launched Social Suitcase®. Not a content management system but a social content engine. Our solution to the future of content creation and consumption.

Social Suitcase is a powerful social content engine for the modern digital age.

The key features for Social Suitcase include:

Control Your Content:
Social Suitcase delivers an optimal content authoring environment, that allows you to control your website. By putting content first, Social Suitcase delivers features that turns websites into content rich and socially engaging experiences, manageable from any device.

Control User Generated Content:
Turn your audience into fans and voices for your brand. Millions of conversations are taking place every day on social media. Harness these conversations by creating customisable social media feeds from Twitter, Facebook, instagram and Vine. You can choose what hashtags and topics you would like your feed to include. You can even approve the content before it appears in your feed.

Make Your Content More Social:
Embed social media posts into your websites content. Through the drag-and-drop interface, you can easily add tweets, posts, instagram photos, and much more, to turn your content into interesting social stories.

Create Social Campaigns:
From competitions to polls, create social campaigns that generate conversation, engagement and value with your audiences. Take ownership of user generated content and use the power of social media to drive interest in your campaign.

This may be the first time that you have heard of Social Suitcase, but it might not be the first time you have heard of a campaign that it has powered.

Social Suitcase was the engine behind the #NameOurShip campaign (AKA Boaty McBoatface), which reached over a quarter of a billion people on Twitter.

We are really proud of the system and the opportunities that it will provide to brands to harness the power of content now and in the future.

We will be continuing the evolve and introduce new features over time.

Social Suitcase is currently available for enterprise projects. If you would like more information about the engine then please visit the Social Suitcase website or get in touch with us. We would love to hear your thoughts!
